The presence of iron and quartz in this poor and gravelly soil brings out characteristics
specific to the Négrette grape variety : aromas of violet and berries (black berry, cherry
and black currant).
A genuine, unique wine, boasting its terroir of origin.
GGRRAAPPEE VVAARRIIEETTIIEESS
60% Négrette, 30% Syrah, 10% Gamay
The unique Négrette variety appeared during the 12th century under the name, "Mavro"
(black in Greek), when it was brought back from Cyprus by the knights of the order of
Saint-Jean of Jerusalem. Capricious, it only acclimatised to the terroir of Fronton;
Négrette is one of the few varieties producing wines with the same aromas as those
expressed when tasting the ripened fruit.

The grapes are picked in the morning from selected parcels to elaborate this great Rosé.
The harvest is destemmed, slightly crushed, macerated then pressed using a closed
pneumatic press to permit a better extraction of the grapes’ different elements. The
musts are maintained inert during the entire winemaking process, thereby skilfully
protecting them from oxidation.
After the addition of enzymes and racking, the must slowly ferments (over 3 weeks), in
vats at a thermo-regulated temperature of 17°C. Following alcoholic fermentation, the
wine is stirred and matured on fine lees for several months. After blended, it is clarified
and stabilised before bottling.
An elegant, harmonious, fruited rosé, which is also both deep and complex, nervous and
refreshing.
TTAASSTTIINNGG NNOOTTEESS
Indian pink colour with mauve tints and impressive brilliance.
Nose evoking rose, acidulated fruit (wild strawberry and raspberry), and suave (violet) aromas.
Impressive harmony on the palate, marked by violets and a fine tannic structure. Good length underlined by a
touch of pepper and acidulated characteristics. A genuine treat.
If carefully stocked can be aged for up to 2 years.
